
Obituary of Henderson Marquis Agbonze
SPC Henderson Marquis Agbonze, a resident of Portland, Oregon, died on March 29, 2019 in Portland. He was 22 years of age.
Henderson was born on October 6, 1996 in Portland and was the son of Prince Agbonze and Linda Quinn. He grew up in Pierce County, Washington and in Portland. He graduated from Park Rose High School in 2015 where he was a Varsity Athlete who competed in Football, Wrestling, Tennis and Track and Field.
At age 17, Henderson enlisted in the Oregon Army National Guard and was assigned to C Company, 2-162 INF stationed in Gresham, Oregon. He was also a Pre-Med Student at Portland State University preparing to select from 6 Medical Schools to complete his college education. He was a member of Phi-delta Epsilon.
Henderson was a caring, inspirational young man who lived by the phrase “Work Hard; Play Hard.” He loved life, loved his family and would do anything for his friends and neighbors. He was generous, kind hearted, honorable, honest and full of integrity. He had a brilliant mind and was down to earth, a true friend to everyone he met.
Henderson had many hobbies. He enjoyed tech gadgets, contact sports, crabbing and fishing. He loved being in nature and trying new things. He also loved to laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm and Saturday, April 13, 2019 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes. A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00 am also at Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes. A committal with military honors will be follow at Sunnyside Chimes Memorial Garden.
